Jane's Due Process 25th anniversary gala with drag performances, dancing, silent auction, and sunset views, hosted by Alexander the Great.
Jane's Due Process is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a gala at The Oasis on Lake Travis on Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 10 PM. The night is more than a birthday party; it's a transition. The organization was founded in 2001, and after a quarter-century of work, it's using this milestone to leave its founding name behind and unveil a new one.
Since those early days, Jane's Due Process has helped thousands of young Texans access abortion, birth control, sexual health information, and pregnancy support, building its reputation on fighting for the bodily autonomy of Texas teens. Over those 25 years, it has grown into a full-spectrum reproductive and sexual healthcare support organization, and the gala marks the moment it steps into its next chapter.
The evening also honors Austin City Council Member Vanessa Fuentes, a champion of reproductive justice who helped pass the 'Reproductive Rights are Human Rights' resolution in Austin in 2024. Hosting the night is Alexander the Great, an Austin-based drag king, aerialist, and dancer who made history as the first trans man to win Mister Austin Pride and Mister Austin Entertainer of the Year.

As for the program, it's a full night: drag performances, a community art installation, a silent auction, a DJ and dancing, and the unveiling of the organization's new name. The whole thing runs from 6 to 10 PM at The Oasis on Lake Travis, so you'll have the sunset over the water as the backdrop.
