Live music night featuring performances by Jane, Feedr, In the Shade and Wasted at the Chess Club.
Jane headlines a four-band bill at Chess Club on Friday, July 31, with Feedr, In the Shade, and Wasted filling out the rest of the night. It's a full run of local acts, and the schedule is laid out in a way that lets you catch everyone if you get there early.
Wasted kicks things off at 9 PM, followed by In the Shade at 9:30 PM. Feedr takes the stage at 10:15 PM, and Jane closes the night at 11 PM. With the sets spaced about 30 to 45 minutes apart, the music runs from 9 PM straight through to the headliner's set.
Chess Club is at 617 Red River in downtown Austin, in the space that used to be Plush. It's an intimately designed, vibrant facility that makes a point of booking up-and-coming bands and underdogs, so this four-act lineup fits right in with what they do. If you're coming from outside the downtown core, it's right in the heart of the Red River district, where you'll find plenty of other spots to hit before or after.
