James McMurtry and The Martial Law Review play The Continental Club on Tuesday, September 22, with Graham Wilkinson following them later in the night. McMurtry is an Austin artist known as much for his lyrics as for his rock guitar playing, and The Washington Post has called him a "must-see" live performer. He'll be on stage with his band, The Martial Law Review, starting at 10 PM.
Graham Wilkinson takes over at midnight. He's an independent Texas singer-songwriter who has been active in the Austin scene for more than 20 years, blending folk, rock, Americana, and roots music. He released YEARBOOK in 2009 and The Spiritual Accessories EP in 2011, and he's known for his heartfelt songwriting and for his advocacy for musician health.

The Continental Club, which has a coast-to-coast reputation as the premiere live-music club in Austin, is located at 1315 S. Congress Ave. The night is 21+ only, and there are no advance tickets sold. The cover is $10, and the music runs late: McMurtry and The Martial Law Review start at 10 PM, followed by Graham Wilkinson at midnight.
