If you're not familiar with the room, the Carousel Lounge is one of Austin's most casual dive bars. It's over on Sixth Street and Red River, and the space doesn't hold more than a hundred people. The decor is elephant-themed, which matches the jukebox, and the stage hosts a rotating roster of local acts—most of them gratis. It's not a kid-friendly spot unless you plan to leave them in the car.
