Hotel Vegas Takeover ft. Fifi Knifefight, Social Dissonance, Street Trash, Saint Sonny Sanders

Hotel Vegas is hosting a takeover of the Grandstand on Wednesday, August 12, with a lineup of four local Austin acts: Fifi Knifefight, Social Dissonance, Street Trash, and Saint Sonny Sanders. The night is presented by Shorty Presents, and it's a local-only bill, so it's a good chance to catch a few Austin bands in one go.

Hotel Vegas and The Volstead Lounge are sister bars on East Sixth Street, both inspired by old-world New Orleans. Together they program live music and DJs from Wednesday through Saturday, so this takeover fits right into the regular flow of the week. The Volstead rounds out the room with house cocktails, old-world wines, and a rotating craft draft beer selection, plus a large outdoor patio if you need a break from the music.

With four bands on the bill, the night stretches from early evening into the late hours. Fifi Knifefight, Social Dissonance, Street Trash, and Saint Sonny Sanders will each take their turn on the Grandstand, and since they're all from around town, it's a local showcase rather than a touring package.
