Hotel Vegas Cumbia Night! ft. Los Desechos, ADLK Hermanos Flores, DJ San Patricio

Hotel Vegas Cumbia Night returns to Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge on Saturday, July 18, with a lineup that pulls from both sides of the border. It's a recurring night at the venue, and this edition brings together Austin's own Los Desechos, ADLK Hermanos Flores, and DJ San Patricio.

If you've never been, the night usually starts with a free cumbia dance class, so you can get your footing before the music really takes over. It's a good way to shake off the day and get in the mood for what follows. From there, the evening shifts into a mix of live sets and DJing, with the dance floor staying open well into the night.

On the live side, Los Desechos are an Austin-based group, and they're sharing the bill with ADLK Hermanos Flores, who hail from Puebla. Having both on the same bill gives the night a bit of a cross-border feel, with the Puebla connection bringing in a different flavor of cumbia than what you'll hear from the local side. DJ San Patricio holds down the rest of the evening, keeping the music moving between the live sets.
