A live music night presented by the Red River Cultural District featuring High Fade, J.T. Loux and other local artists at the Mohawk venue.
High Fade headlines Mohawk on Friday, July 17, as part of Hot Summer Nights, a multi-day run presented by the Red River Cultural District. The night brings together a bill that reaches well beyond Austin: High Fade comes in from Edinburgh, Scotland, and J.T. Loux joins from Sacramento, California. They share the stage with four Austin acts—Starflake, Jeremiah Jackson, French Film, and Club Coma—so it's a long night of music that pulls from a few different cities.
The Red River Cultural District is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in downtown Austin, managed by the Red River Merchants' Association, a coalition of more than forty local small businesses. The district's work is centered on preserving Texas's live music heritage, and Hot Summer Nights is one of the multi-day events they put on. Mohawk, where this particular night takes place, is one of the city's well-known live music venues and events spaces, known for its concerts and community atmosphere.
With six acts on the bill, the evening builds from the local openers up to the headliners. Starflake, Jeremiah Jackson, French Film, and Club Coma are all based here in Austin, and they set the stage for J.T. Loux, who's coming in from Sacramento, and High Fade, who's making the trip from Edinburgh. It's a full lineup that keeps the music going through the night.
