A sacrilegious burlesque show with burlesque, drag, and pole dance, 18+.
Haus of Brimstone brings Holy Hell II: Clergilicious to The Stage Austin on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29. It's the second installment of the company's inaugural 'Holy Hell' theme, and this time it's built around a 'clergilicious' twist: a sacrilegious burlesque of devotion defrocked that trades in profane perversions and satanic liberation, celebrating sacrilegious self-expression and freedom from religious oppression. The cast turns up in religious and devilish costumes, and the show mixes burlesque, drag, and pole dance—though the pole is Friday only—with live serpents and the promise of a blood sacrifice or two. It's staged in a Black Box with the audience on all sides, and the company describes the night as an LGBTQIA+ safe space, sex-positive and pro sex worker. A different cast takes the stage each night, and the weekend also takes in a raffle, vendors, and a silent costume contest.
Friday's cast includes Bobby Barnaby, Cimmeria Steel, Coco Kitty & Doom.Dolly, Dev Developpe, Disco Lemonade, Lilith Allure, Messéré, L'Obscurité, Sabor Insanity, Shi Feticcio, Sleaze McQueen, Stormy September, The Lady Mazikeen, Villanelle & Francesca. Saturday brings a new group: Creepy Crowley, Ginger Snaps, God Syndrome, Gothess Jasmine, Irene Straddler, Lady Marionette & Sabor Insanity, Lilith Azazel, Poly Thickstack, Jojo Jezebel & Levi Lustrous, Satan's Cheerleaders, Seraph the Shapeshifter, Shi Feticcio & Messéré, L'Obscurité, Sodi Moore, The Crowned Juul, Thrice Knightly & Danny D. Dynamite. Lxdy Botticelli and Strawberry emcee both nights.
