Hip-hop artist Grieves performs with Mouse Powell on the WHYNOT DOES TEXAS tour at ACL Live at 3TEN.
Grieves plays ACL Live at 3TEN on Sunday, December 13, with Mouse Powell on the bill. It's part of the WHYNOT DOES TEXAS tour, and the show starts at 7 PM.
If you're not familiar with the name, Grieves is a Seattle-based independent artist who signed with Rhymesayers in 2009. Since then, he's toured globally alongside Atmosphere, Macklemore, T-Pain, Watsky, Brother Ali, and Chris Webby. His catalog has racked up hundreds of millions of plays, and he's hit #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and #57 on the top 200, with coverage from Pitchfork and Playboy. These days he self-releases through his own label, Storm Watch Record Club.
The tour is built around WHY NOT?, the action-packed EP he put out in February 2023 with his long-time friend Mouse Powell. The two have worked together for years, and this record is the latest collaboration between them. The tour pages describe the sound as emotive, soulful hip-hop, and that's the kind of set you can expect when they hit the stage in Austin.
