Franco Escamilla returns to the stage with his new show, The Trial, bringing his personal stories and secrets to the Supreme Court of Comedy.
Franco Escamilla brings his new show, El Juicio, to ACL Live at The Moody Theater on Friday, January 29, 2027. He's a Mexican comedian and satirist known for sour humor and charm, and he's touring North America with all new material. The show runs an hour and a half and is performed in Spanish.
El Juicioβwhich translates to The Trialβis built around a courtroom theme. Escamilla takes embarrassing personal anecdotes and unexpected confessions and presents them as evidence, working from the idea that reality is often wilder than fiction. He calls the stage the "Supreme Court of Comedy," where he lays out his most personal stories and best-kept secrets. The only final verdict he promises is that laughter and entertainment are 100% guaranteed.
Escamilla is often billed as "The Master of Sarcasm," and that dry, biting edge is a good shorthand for what he does. Beyond the stand-up, he's known for his comedy radio shows and his performing troupe, La Diablo Squad, with whom he takes his guitar on stage. He's a digital trend-setter and a fan favorite, usually cited alongside peers like Felipe Esparza and Jesus Martinez "Palillo."
