Thrash metal band Forbidden performs live on their 'Chaos By Design' 2026 US tour at Come and Take It Live.
Forbidden are playing Come and Take It Live on Tuesday, November 17, as part of their Chaos By Design US tour. If you're not familiar with the name, it's a good place to start with the Bay Area thrash scene of the 1980s. They formed in 1984 and belonged to that first wave of Northern California bands that helped build the heavy metal genre into something that's still around today.
Their debut album, Breaking the Silence, came out on Combat Records in 1987 and set the sound that would define them: guitarist Lee Altus and vocalist David White leading the charge. That was followed by Victims of Deception on Roadrunner in 1991, and they spent time touring Europe alongside contemporaries like Sepultura and Sacred Reich. After a hiatus, they returned in 2001, and in 2010 they released The Evolution of Chaos, which drew critical acclaim and reached number 75 on the German popular music chart. Guitarist Kragen Lum joined the lineup in 2007.
