Exotic Fruitica are playing Vinyl Beauty Bar on Saturday, August 1, with support from Tortures and Oogwei. It's a fundraiser for their upcoming album, Fruitica, and the draw is a specific one: the band is playing the new record front to back. If you've been following them, this is your first chance to hear the whole thing in one go before it's actually out.
Every dollar taken at the door goes straight toward the recording. The band has booked the studio for the last week of August, so the money raised here is exactly what gets the record finished. It's a direct line from the door to the studio, and playing the album in full is their way of showing you what you're helping to fund.

Tortures and Oogwei open the night, so you'll get two other acts before Exotic Fruitica takes the stage. The whole thing is 21+, and the suggested donation is $10 or more, with all of it going toward the record. The show starts at 8 PM at Vinyl Beauty Bar, 2400 E Cesar Chavez St, Unit 312, in East Austin.
