Everything's Bigger Cabaret

Everything's Bigger Cabaret is at The Jackalope on Saturday, August 15, in the Show Pony room on the South Shore. It's a variety show that pulls together local musicians, dancers, drag artists, and everyone in between, all on one bill. The night is hosted and produced by May Buzzetti, a local showgirl who describes herself as part Tasmanian devil, and she's the one keeping the whole thing moving.

Buzzetti bills the cabaret as "a variety show for good people during bad times," a night of culture and community that brings together a wide range of local talent. The lineup moves from musicians to dancers to drag performers, so you're getting a few different kinds of acts in one sitting rather than just one thing. It's the kind of show where you'll see a musician follow a dancer, who might be followed by a drag set, and so on throughout the evening.

Once the main show wraps, the night doesn't just end. There's a raffle of local prizes, and karaoke kicks in at 9 PM, so you can stick around and take the stage yourself after the performers have had their turn. The room is 21+, and they check IDs at the door. Seats are first come first serve, so if you want a good spot, it's worth getting there a bit early. Parking is free in the front and out back by The Copperhead Club.
