Live two-step music performance by Eric Michael Smith at The Little Longhorn Saloon, following evening dance lessons.
Eric Michael Smith plays The Little Longhorn Saloon on Wednesday, August 19, and the night is built around the dance floor. It's a double-bill of sorts, with a two-step lesson starting at 7 PM and live music taking over from 8 to 11 PM. If you've never spent a night at the Longhorn, that's the rhythm: you get your steps in first, and then you spend the rest of the evening putting them to use.
The lesson is a Hill Country advanced two-step, and it's free. If you show up for it, you'll get a complimentary Shiner Bock to hold onto while you work through the footwork. It's a good way to ease into the night before the music kicks in, and it means you'll be ready to dance when the band starts.
From 8 PM on, the focus shifts to the stage, with Eric Michael Smith leading the live set through 11 PM. The two-step lesson is the lead-in, and the music is what keeps the room moving for the next three hours. If you're not one for the dancing, you can still just hang out and listen.

As for the drinks, Shiners are $4 a bottle for the rest of the evening. So, the full run goes from 7 to 11 PM: free advanced two-step lessons from 7 to 8, a complimentary Shiner for those who take them, and live music from Eric Michael Smith from 8 to 11.
