A sing-along pop punk and emo night featuring covers of hits from Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Paramore and more.
EMOcean Avenue plays at The Ballroom at Speakeasy on Friday, August 14, with doors opening at 8 PM. It's a sing-along show built around the best of emo and pop punk, and the set draws from the catalogues of bands like Boys Like Girls, Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, Hello Goodbye, Paramore and Yellowcard.
If those names ring a bell, you know the territory they're covering. It's the sound of the mid-2000s pop punk and emo era, and the sing-along part is the point—the whole night is set up for you to sing along with the songs rather than just listen. The set pulls from a wide spread of that scene, from the theatrical pop of Panic! at the Disco and Fall Out Boy to the more straightforward pop punk of New Found Glory and Yellowcard, with Paramore and My Chemical Romance in the mix.
