Double or Nothing holds beginner two-step lessons at Donn's Depot every Wednesday at 7 PM. It's a drop-in class, so you can just show up when you're ready. The lesson is free, though donations are welcome.
What they teach is Honky-Tonk Two-Step—the fast, smooth social dance that Austin dancers use on crowded honky-tonk floors. It's the same style taught across all their classes. The lessons are beginner-friendly: no partner and no experience are needed, and most people are up and dancing by the end of the first hour. Beyond these public drop-ins, the studio offers private lessons, studio-series bootcamps, and an online course. If Wednesday doesn't work, they have other slots throughout the week. On Tuesdays, they're at Sagebrush with a beginner class at 6 PM and an intermediate one at 7 PM. Sundays at Sagebrush bring an advanced class at 5 PM and an intermediate one at 6 PM. While the Wednesday lesson at Donn's Depot is free, the Sagebrush classes usually carry a cash cover at the door—about $10, with a little more on some Friday and Saturday nights.
