A live night of metal and thrash music presented by Doom Records, featuring Homegrown, Fairuza Balk, Imminent End, Slob, Pain God, and Obligatory Jock Slaughter.
Doom Records is putting together a showcase at Hole in the Wall on Monday, October 12, and it's a deep dive into the heavier side of the local scene. They've pulled together six Austin bands for one night, and the lineup runs the full length of the city's underground: Homegrown, Fairuza Balk, Imminent End, Slob, Pain God, and Obligatory Jock Slaughter.
Doom Records describes the showcase as a cross-section of the eclectic Austin scene on a single stage, and the bill follows through on that. It stretches from thrash to the heavier end of the local underground, with Obligatory Jock Slaughter bringing their signature thrash sound to the Hole in the Wall. With six bands on one bill, you're getting a good look at several different corners of the city's heavier music in one go rather than hunting down separate shows across a few weeks.
