DJ SupaJames performs an opening DJ set followed by performances from MC Magic and Lil Rob at Come and Take It Live in Austin.
DJ SupaJames is opening at Come and Take It Live on Sunday, October 18, starting at 6 PM, followed by performances by MC Magic and Lil Rob.
If you haven't come across him before, there's a fair bit of ground to cover. His real name is James SupaJames Palomares, and he grew up in Palm Springs, California. He started DJing and hanging around his local radio station when he was 15, moving from production on the local morning show to playing every school event and private party he could get his hands on. A brief stint in San Diego at 17 landed him in Las Vegas just after his 18th birthday, and that's where he says he learned the difference between being a DJ and being an entertainer.
From there, he worked as a weekend mixer at KVEG/Hot 97.5 before returning to radio with Royce International Broadcasting. These days he's heard by more than a million daily listeners across three markets — San Francisco (KREV), Las Vegas (KFRH), and Palm Springs (KRCK) — and he programs three TOP-40 stations. He splits his time between daily radio shows, nightly club gigs, and music production, so he's as much a radio programmer as he is a DJ.
