A monthly dark wave, goth and indie sleaze night at Swan Dive, featuring DJ Devil Woman.
DJ Devil Woman takes over Swan Dive on Saturday, August 29, for another edition of Devil's Night. It's a regular fixture at the venue, which sits at 615 Red River in the Red River Cultural District—a spot that programs live music, dance parties and burlesque across two stages. The night happens every fourth Saturday of the month, so if you miss this one, there's another coming around a few weeks later.
Devil's Night is a dance night, and DJ Devil Woman builds it around dark wave, goth and indie sleaze. She leans on a selection of artists like Boy Harsher, Crystal Castles, Sextile and Nuovo Testamento, so you'll get a mix of synth-heavy dark wave and the more jagged, dancefloor-ready side of goth. It's the kind of set that works as well for dancing as it does for just hanging out in the dark.
