Deep house and afro-house DJ and producer Dennis Ferrer performs live at Kingdom Nightclub in Austin.
Dennis Ferrer is playing Kingdom Nightclub on Friday, October 30, 2026. He's the only name on the bill, so it's a full night of his set.
If you're not familiar with his name, you've almost certainly heard his work. Ferrer is one half of Sfere Recordings, the label he started back in 1998 with house legend Kerri Chandler, who he says re-introduced him to soul and funk. That influence has stayed with him: his productions lean into soulful, afro-house sounds and have come out on labels like Sfere, Ibadan, Large, King Street, Basic Recordings, Madhouse, and Chillifunk. He's widely regarded as one of the leading deep-house remixers of his generation.
His catalog runs deep. On the afro-house side, he's known for tracks like "Funu" on Basic Recordings, "Ko Ko" on Ibadan, and "Reach 4 Freedom" and "Dem People Go" on Kingstreet. The more soulful side comes through in "Wonderful People" on Metaphor, "Joy to the World" on Sfere, and his Soul Collective series on Large Records. He first got into music through the early-90s Synewave label, and since then his DJ career has taken him across five continents, with dates in the UK, France, Scandinavia, Benelux, Russia, Greece, Italy, Japan, and South Africa, as well as New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Montreal.
