Daughtry

Daughtry play an unplugged show at ACL Live at the Moody Theater on Wednesday, February 3, 2027. It's a stripped-back set from a band that's spent most of its career playing loud, so the acoustic format changes the way their songs land.

If you've only ever heard them on the radio, the name probably rings a bell from the mid-2000s. Their self-titled debut was the top-selling album of 2007 and the fastest-selling rock debut in Soundscan history, earning four GRAMMY nominations, four American Music Awards, and seven Billboard Music Awards, including Album of the Year. It went four times Platinum. That early run continued with Leave This Town (2009), Break The Spell (2011), and Baptized (2013), all of which also went Platinum, while Cage To Rattle (2018) was certified Gold.

They've kept working since then. In 2021 they released Dearly Beloved, and in 2023 they put out a cover of Journey's "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" featuring Lzzy Hale, which became a Top 10 hit. That was followed by the heavy-rock single "Artificial," their first No. 1 in the Active Rock format. The band hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, and this Austin stop is an unplugged show, so the set will be acoustic rather than the full-band sound they're known for.
