DAMOYEE performs live at The ABGB, headlining the 4DAWA Fest 7-year celebration with sets from Eddie Angel, NiCOTiNE, and Smooth Nature.
DAMOYEE plays The ABGB on Saturday, September 19, as part of a night celebrating seven years of 4DAWA Fest. It's a full bill that runs through the evening, with DAMOYEE taking the main slot at 9 PM.
If you're not familiar with her, DAMOYEE is a Dallas-born artist, musician, composer, and producer who blends genres and is known for her musicianship, evocative lyrics, and luminous voice. She was born with absolute pitch and started playing piano at age two; by ten, she was performing her own original music, with early stage appearances at Levitt Pavilion and the House of Blues Dallas main stage. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas — the same alma mater as Erykah Badu and Norah Jones — and earned a bachelor's degree in film scoring from Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship. Her 2019 album The Whole Truth charted internationally, and her 2024 three-volume project PURPLEXED explores self-discovery and the reclamation of her womanhood. Her music has been placed in films and on stages worldwide, with industry placements by artists like Bryson Tiller and producers including Timbaland.
She's not the only one on the bill. The night kicks off at 5 PM, with Eddie Angel starting at 7 PM, NiCOTiNE at 8 PM, and Smooth Nature following DAMOYEE at 10 PM. Body Rock ATX is also part of the lineup. It's a long run of sets, so you can come for the whole thing or just catch the headliner.
