For a bit of context on the place, The Broken Spoke is at 3201 S. Lamar Blvd, and it's been around since 1964, when James M. White opened it. It's one of the city's old-school Texas dancehalls, and it's still running live music Tuesday through Saturday. Beyond this particular Saturday, the Spoke keeps a few other things going. They hold two-step dance lessons Wednesday through Saturday from 8 PM to 9 PM, with the dancehall opening at 7:15 PM. On Tuesdays, they have 'Two-Step Tuesdays' with Weldon Henson at 8:15 PM, which carries a $10 cover. For the July 18 show, there's no cover in the restaurant, though tips are requested. Dale Watson starts at 9 PM in the dancehall.
