Americana concert by country music artist Dale Watson at the Parker Jazz Club.
Dale Watson plays the Parker Jazz Club on Thursday, July 23, at 7:30 PM. He's an award-winning country musician and producer who's been making music and performing live for more than 40 years, so this is a veteran on the bill rather than a newcomer.
Watson has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in country music: Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. He's also appeared on David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Austin City Limits, and has released over 30 albums and singles throughout his career. He's not just a performer, either—he's a producer who built Wat-sun Studio in Memphis, Tennessee, and he equipped it with the 1937 board from Sun Studio, the legendary room where so much of early rock and roll and country was recorded.

If you're not familiar with his work, that's a good place to start. Between the 30-plus records and the decades of live shows, there's a lot to dig into before Thursday. The set will be an Americana concert, and the venue is the Parker Jazz Club here in Austin. One thing to keep in mind: the club is 21+, so you'll need your ID. The show starts at 7:30 PM.
