Dougherty Arts Center is hosting DAC Nights: Down The River Wild on Wednesday, August 19, from 7 to 9 PM. The night centers on the Smithsonian documentary Epic Yellowstone: Down the River Wild, which they're screening twice—once at 7:05 PM and again at 8:05 PM—so you can catch it whenever you arrive. Between the screenings, there's a mini riverscape making activity, a hands-on craft you get to take home.
This is part of DAC Nights, the center's celebration of National Parks Week. The whole series is built around pairing a nature documentary with a creative activity, and this one follows that format: you watch the film and then make something inspired by it. If you're coming with kids, it's a good way to get them interested in the parks without just sitting through a movie.
