College Night Strip Off is back at RAIN on 4th this Thursday, August 20, starting at 10 PM. It's a weekly fixture here, and if you've never been, it's Austin's only all-male amateur strip-off. The night is hosted by Bobby Cook and Basura, with DJ Eric Stylez on the decks keeping things moving.
As an amateur competition, the stage is open to whoever wants to step up and show off. The stakes are real, too: they hand out up to $300 in cash and gift cards from Package Austin each week, so there's a genuine incentive to bring your best routine. It's billed as one of the city's hottest weekly shows, and since it's an amateur call, the energy changes depending on who decides to compete.
RAIN on 4th is a gay-friendly club popular with the LGBTQ+ community, set in a warehouse-like space of raw brick and exposed ductwork. The main bar is joined by a small stage, an elevated seating area, and an outdoor patio with its own bar. DJs spin mostly pop tunes, and theme nights run regularly—college and karaoke nights are among the weekly fixtures, and the crowd is invariably mixed. The strip-off fits right into that rotation.
