Metal concert featuring Castle, Sabbath Crow, and Sudden Deaf at Valhalla in Austin.
Castle are playing Valhalla on Tuesday, September 15, with Sabbath Crow and Sudden Deaf opening. It's a metal bill that runs late into the night, with doors opening at 8 PM.
Castle is a San Francisco trio that first made a name for itself with its 2011 debut In Witch Order, followed a year later by the JUNO-nominated Blacklands. Since then, they've played more than 750 shows across three continents. Their most recent run, the Evil Remains Tour, took them through Europe twice, as well as the U.S. and Canada, with stops at Muskelrock in Sweden, Battle Cry Fest in Germany, and Chicago's Legions Of Metal Fest, along with sold-out shows in their hometown of San Francisco. This Austin date is part of a full U.S. tour they're running through Hammerheart Records, which kicked off on September 3 in Detroit.
The night is built around three sets. Sudden Deaf opens at 9 PM, followed by Sabbath Crow at 10 PM, and Castle taking the stage at 11 PM. If you're coming for the headliner, you'll have a couple of hours of support to work through first.
