Concert by singer-songwriter Carsie Blanton at the Radio/East venue in Austin, Texas.
Carsie Blanton plays Radio/East on Friday, June 4, 2027. She's a singer-songwriter from Luray, Virginia, and she describes her work as "open-hearted protest" music that blends folk, jazz, and pop. It's the kind of songwriting that doesn't shy away from a point of view, and she's known for an independent streak that runs through her whole career.
That independence shows up in how she handles her music, too. She's long operated with a "pay what you please" approach to her work, letting people decide what it's worth to them rather than sticking to a fixed price. Her discography includes After the Revolution, and she's spent plenty of time collaborating with other artists along the way.
One of those collaborations paid off in a big way recently. She worked with The Burning Hell, and together they shared the 2026 International Folk Music Awards Artist of the Year. It's a good place to start if you're coming to her for the first time.
