Cap City Comedy Club presents Ron Taylor

Ron Taylor is playing two nights at Cap City Comedy Club on Thursday, September 10, and Friday, September 11. He's a Detroit stand-up, writer, and actor who first hit the national radar as the winner of the first season of Funny AF, Kevin Hart's Netflix competition series. The win was decided by the streaming audience and a panel of comic judges that included Hart, Tom Segura, Nikki Glaser, Chelsea Handler, and Kumail Nanjiani, and it earned him a Netflix comedy special.

Since then, he's been working the circuit. He's appeared on BET's Apollo Live and Fox's Laughs, and was personally selected by Bill Burr to perform on Comedy Central's The Ringers. These days he's a paid regular at the World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood and The Comedy Mothership here in Austin, so he's a face you'll recognize if you spend any time at the city's big rooms.

Both shows are in the Red Room at Cap City, 8120 Research Blvd. #100. The Thursday show starts at 7 PM, and the Friday show is at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $47, with an average around $75, though the Friday show averages a bit higher, around $93. The Red Room offers general admission, balcony, and reserved seating, so you can pick your spot. Cap City is an 18+ venue with a two-item minimum per person.
