Built to Spill

Built to Spill play Central Machine Works on Friday, September 25. It's a single-night stop in Austin, and they're the only name on the bill besides the opener.

Opening for them is Paul Schalda, a Dallas-based artist. He'll get the night started before Built to Spill take over the stage for the main set. Between the two, you've got a Texas-sized pairing: a Dallas act opening for a band that's spent decades as a staple of the indie rock world.

If you're planning your night around it, the show runs from 6:30 PM to 11:00 PM at Central Machine Works Brewery & Beer Hall, 4824 E. Cesar Chavez. That's out on the east side, so keep that in mind for your commute. The music starts early enough that you can catch the opener and still have plenty of room for the headliner without the night stretching too late.
