Buena Vista Social Club comes to the Bass Concert Hall from December 1 to 6, 2026. It's the Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical that brings the story of the iconic album to the stage, described as a journey through music and memory into the heart of Havana.
The story centers on the legendary singer Omara Portuondo, known as the 'Queen of Feeling,' whose voice was celebrated throughout Cuba until she vanished from the spotlight. An ambitious young record producer brings her a rare opportunity that forces the elusive diva to reckon with her past. The show made its world premiere at Atlantic Theater Company in December 2023 before transferring to Broadway, where it won five Tony Awards, including Best Featured Actress in a Musical, Best Sound Design, Best Choreography, and Best Orchestrations. Its Original Broadway Cast Recording took home the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album.
Behind the production is a Tony-nominated team: the book is by Marco Ramirez, direction by Saheem Ali, and choreography by Tony Award winners Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck. David Yazbek served as musical consultant, with Dean Sharenow as music supervisor, Marco Paguia as music director, and Juan De Marcos on music consultation. The Washington Post called it a 'jaw-dropping, soul-stirring must see,' and it's presented by a world-class company.

There are plenty of options to catch it. Evening performances run Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 PM, Thursday at 7:30 PM, and Friday at 8:00 PM. Saturday has a double bill with shows at 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and Sunday offers a 1:00 PM and a 6:30 PM. There's also a school day performance on December 3 at 11:00 AM. Individual tickets start at $48.
