Jimmy Eat Brisket is putting on Brisketfest at The Far Out Lounge & Stage on Saturday, August 8, from 3 PM to 10 PM. He's presenting it alongside the venue, and the whole thing is open to all ages. They're billing it as Austin's smokiest, loudest and most brisket-fueled festival, and the tagline sums up the vibe: 'Tastes Like Brisket, Sounds Like Nostalgia.'
The day pairs live music with Texas BBQ, pop-up shops, local artists and tattoos. On the music side, the bands lean into 2000s emo and pop-punk covers with a smoky twist. The lineup features Jimmy Eat Brisket, Chancla Fight Club, Wicklow, Hounding, and Lucyspin and Dan Radin. The brisket trucks are KG BBQ, Stack City BBQ & Beer, Good BBQ Company and Ed's Smokehouse. Tattoos are by Goose Gore, and the art is curated by Luxe Art Agency.

If you want to stay late, there's a 2000s-nostalgia afterparty with LORE running until midnight. VIP tickets are available, and they get you access to a private bar right next to the stage. The Far Out Lounge is the festival's South Congress home, so you'll find it at 8504 S Congress Ave. Tickets are $10 Early Bird and $15 at the door.
