Soul and R&B night at Antone's Nightclub featuring Soul Man Sam, Bianca on Sax, and The Guardians of Music & Planet Dev.
Soul Man Sam is back at Antone's Nightclub on Monday, September 21, as part of the Blue Monday series. It's a Monday night show, which puts it right in the middle of the work week rather than the usual weekend slot, so it's one of those nights you have to actually plan for.
Sam isn't taking the stage alone. He's bringing along Bianca on sax and The Guardians of Music & Planet Dev, so it's a full band night. Having a horn in the mix changes the whole feel of a set, and with a full group behind him, this is more of a proper show than a stripped-back appearance. Between Sam's vocals, the sax, and the rest of the band, there's a good amount of ground to cover across the bill.

Antone's is the home for this one, and it's a venue that knows its way around a soul and R&B night. The Blue Monday series is a regular fixture there, and this particular date falls on Monday, September 21, with the music starting at 7 PM. Doors open an hour earlier at 6 PM, so you've got plenty of time to get in and find a spot before the first note hits. If you're coming from work or just want to beat the crowd, that extra hour gives you some breathing room.
