Special IMAX screening of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner: The Final Cut, presented as part of the Paramount Summer Classic Film Series.
Ridley Scott's Blade Runner: The Final Cut is showing at The Bullock Museum IMAX Theatre on Tuesday, August 4, as part of the Paramount Summer Classic Film Series. It's a special IMAX screening of the 1982 sci-fi staple, and the venue bills itself as the biggest screen in Texas, which is exactly where you want a movie like this to live.
Adapted from a Philip K. Dick novel, the story follows a man tasked with hunting replicants — androids virtually indistinguishable from humans — in a futuristic world. It's widely regarded as Scott's visually astonishing, genre-defining masterpiece, and The Final Cut is the version he finally got to shape himself. The film runs 118 minutes in color, and seeing it in IMAX gives those sprawling, rainy cityscapes and neon-lit streets the room they need to breathe. The cast is a heavy one: Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, and Edward James Olmos.
