A laid-back space for LGBTQIA+ friends to enjoy beer, network, and build community with queer vendors and films.
Beers with Queers returns to Vacancy Brewing on Monday, August 24, starting at 6 PM. It's a night Vacancy holds specifically for LGBTQIA+ friends and lovers to hang out, grab a beer, and build community with other queer folks in the city. The whole thing is free, and while an RSVP is listed, you don't need a ticket to get in.
The evening is built around a few queer signatures. There's MTV Monday, which screens queer throwback films, and a 'Cheers with Glitter Beer' activity. You'll also find queer vendors and food pop-ups on site, and a chance to network with queer business owners. It's as much about the people as the beer.
Vacancy Brewing itself is an award-winning craft brewery and taproom in the St. Elmo district of South Austin, pouring award-winning lagers, rotating seasonals, and small-batch favorites. If you're hungry, there's wood-fired pizza and shawarma from local food trucks, and the brewery runs a weekly program of trivia and live music. Beers with Queers is just one part of that calendar.
