Austin's favorite art party with live music, food, drinks, art tours, dancing, and late-night hours at the Blanton Museum of Art, serving as the closing party for the 'Run the Code' exhibition.
The Blanton Museum of Art is hosting another B Scene on Friday, July 24, from 7 PM to 11 PM. This one is called Buffering Reality, and it doubles as the closing party for Run the Code: Data-Driven Art, an immersive exhibition that brings together art and technology, decoded by the Thoma Foundation in partnership with the museum. B Scene is the museum's after-hours party—they open the doors three times a year with live music, food, drinks, art tours, and dancing, and they encourage guests to dress to the theme.
This edition leans into early-aughts nostalgia, a trip back to the digital age. The music is electronic, and the night includes a one-night-only Pop-up Print Exhibition, a tech-themed scavenger hunt through the galleries, and a chance to create art based on algorithms. The live music comes from synth pop trio Night Drive and Ian Orth. Support for B Scene at the Blanton is provided in part by KUTX.

Tickets are $20 for members (ages 18 & up) and $30 for the general public (ages 18 & up); kids ages 6–17 are $5, and children 5 & under are free. Regular museum discounts—UT ID, Military, K-12 Teacher, Student, and Senior—do not apply to this event. It runs from 7 PM to 11 PM at the Blanton, 200 E. MLK, on the Austin campus.
