Musical about a young girl on a space mission to save Earth, with her talking dog Captain Chaos.
Awesome Allie: First Kid Astronaut opens at the Scottish Rite Theater on February 20, 2027, and runs through March 14. It's a musical for young audiences, and the venue describes it as a funny, adventurous play. The story follows Allie, an energetic eight-year-old who heads into outer space on a mission across the solar system to save Earth. She doesn't go alone: her talking dog Captain Chaos and Rover the Dancing Robot from Mars are right there with her. Along the way, she crosses paths with a friendly alien who crash-landed on Pluto, her mom—who happens to be the President of the United States—Secret Service Agent Bob, and the supercomputer PAL 9000.
Behind the show are Scott Elmegreen, who wrote the book, and Drew Fornarola, who wrote the music and lyrics. Elmegreen is a writer and composer whose work has premiered on Broadway and television, as well as off-Broadway, regionally, and internationally. The production is presented by special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide.
