Austin Witches Market

Austin Witches Market is setting up at Cosmic Saltillo on Saturday, August 8, from 6 PM to 10 PM. If you've never come across them before, these are community vendor events built around witchcraft and magick, and they move around the city rather than staying in one spot. This particular edition is presented in English and is organized by the market itself.

What makes these markets a bit different from your average craft fair is the scale and the rotation. They work with more than 200 vendors who rotate across various Austin venues, so the mix of tables changes from one market to the next. You'll find people selling a wide range of things related to the craft—herbs, crystals, tarot, handmade tools, and other magickal supplies—and because the vendors rotate, there's usually something new to see even if you've been to a few of these before.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you head out. Entry is restricted to those 21 and over, and you'll need a valid government-issued photo ID to get through the door. On the plus side, pets are welcome, so you can bring your familiar along. As for getting there, parking is limited to a few street spaces, but the venue validates up to two hours at the four parking garages in the Saltillo development, which should save you some circling around the block.
