A night of indie rock featuring performances by All Fours, New Strangers, Broken Gold and Campaigner at the Chess Club.
All Fours, New Strangers, Broken Gold, and Campaigner are all on the same bill at Chess Club on Saturday, August 15. It's a four-band run that stretches well past midnight, with each act taking its own slot rather than sharing a split bill. All Fours opens the night at 9 PM, followed by New Strangers at 10 PM, Broken Gold at 11 PM, and Campaigner closing things out at midnight.
If you're not familiar with the room, Chess Club is at 617 Red River in downtown Austin. It's an intimate, vibrant space that books up-and-coming bands and underdogs, playing the same room that used to be Plush. Because it's a smaller venue, the four-band lineup means you'll be in the same room for the whole run, with the music shifting every hour.
Doors open at 8 PM, so you've got an hour to get settled before All Fours kicks things off at 9. From there, the hand-off happens every hour on the hour: New Strangers at 10, Broken Gold at 11, and Campaigner at midnight. If you only have a few hours, you can pick your favorite and drop in; if you stay for the whole thing, you're looking at a night that runs from 9 PM until the early hours of Sunday morning.
