Ten Dollar Bash returns for Part II with two stages, free drinks, and a stacked lineup including AJ Lipton, Josh T. Pearson, and Bryce Clifford & Brother Superior.
AJ Lipton brings the Ten Dollar Bash back to HowMuch?! Studios on Friday, October 2, for Part II. Lipton is the songwriter behind the event, and the venue is one he helped create, so this is his home turf. He's billing it as an alternative to ACL weekend, and the format fits that: two stages running all night with an open bar and food on hand, rather than a single bill. Big Hat Spirits and Tequila Comisario are sponsoring the weekend.
The lineup is a long one, with AJ Lipton & The Light Aluminum leading. They're joined by Josh T. Pearson, Lindsay Beaver, John Wesley Coleman III, Bryce Clifford & Brother Superior, Jonas Wilson, David Dondero, Bill Davis, Thurman Love, Tiff & Gabe, and Bill Cody, with more names to be announced. Lipton describes the booking as some of Austin's most innovative songwriters, and the list reads like a cross-section of the city's songwriting communityโfolk, Americana, and singer-songwriter styles that lean into the writing rather than the production. With two stages going, you can drift between sets instead of sticking to one room.

It runs from 7 PM to 2 AM, so it's a full night rather than a single show. Tickets are $10 in advance and $20 at the door, and the open bar runs the whole time. If you're looking for a way to spend the ACL weekend without the festival crowds, this is a straightforward option: a long night of songwriters in a room Lipton knows well.
