Evening of queer music and art with local queer musicians, drag hosting, and a marketplace of queer artists, part of The Big Queer Weekend.
Steph Cash headlines the 7th Annual Pride in Local Music at Drinks Backyard on Saturday, September 26, from 5 PM to 10 PM. She's bringing her full band, and the bill fills out with sets from Melissa Carper, Bboy Wicket, Painterly and Maru Haru. Throughout the night, Maxine LaQueene hosts a drag showcase featuring Simone Riviera, Kelly Kline, Devonna St. James, Sirena Mirage and Solangel Vergara. The yard also plays host to a marketplace of queer artists and artisans.
Cash is a Virginia-born, Texas-based artist who brings '90s outlaw country energy and traditional honky-tonk flair to the stage. The night follows the Pride in Local Music formula: local queer musicians and bands on stage, drag hosting all night, and a marketplace of queer artists and artisans filling the yard. The event is produced by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with SXSW and OUTlaw Pride.
It's part of The Big Queer Weekend, a four-day celebration of Austin's queer creative community presented by the Austin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and aGLIFF. The weekend pairs six feature films with red carpets, filmmaker Q&As and this free night of queer music, drag and art.

Entry is free with no cover and no ticket, open to the public, though an RSVP is requested. The show is ASL accessible, with interpreters provided by Amber G Productions. All ages are welcome until 8 PM, after which it becomes 21+.
