25th Anniversary of Zoolander

Hotel Vegas is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Zoolander on Monday, September 28, with a screening and a few side activities. The night is presented by the Hotel Vegas Movie Club, their community film and television appreciation series that treats cinema like a backyard party, complete with trivia, movie bingo, and quote-a-longs. The whole thing runs from 7 PM to 10 PM, with doors opening at 7.

The night centers on Blue Steel, the look that broke through twenty-five years ago and changed the conversation around male models by showing they could stay relevant in old age, even as philanthropists. It's a movie that doesn't take itself seriously, and the evening follows suit. The screening is just one part of the bill: Blue Steel Bingo kicks off at 8 PM, and at 9:30 PM there's a walk-off competition decided by a judge, so if you've been practicing your runway walk in your living room, this is your chance to actually use it.

It's a free event, 21+, and it all happens at Hotel Vegas & The Volstead Lounge in Austin. Doors open at 7 PM, bingo starts at 8 PM, and the walk-off is at 9:30 PM.
