Punk rock show by Zeke with support from Bigfoot, Black Fractal and Twin Trances at 529 Bar in East Atlanta Village.
Zeke play 529 Bar on Monday, October 19, starting at 8 PM. They're the headliner, with Bigfoot, Black Fractal and Twin Trances opening the night.
If you're not familiar, Zeke started in 1993 in Tacoma, Washington. The original lineup—Blind Marky Felchtone, Donny Paycheck, Mark Pierce and Dizzy Lee Roth—cut their teeth on brash hardcore punk. They signed to Epitaph Records in 1998 and put out Kicked In The Teeth, mixed and engineered by Jack Endino, followed by Dirty Sanchez in 2000 and Death Alley in 2001. After leaving Epitaph, they signed to Relapse Records in 2003 and released 'Til the Livin' End.
They've spent decades on the road, touring with Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, All, The Voodoo Glow Skulls, Doa and The Supersuckers, and even playing a few dates with Pearl Jam. They cite KISS, Black Flag, The Ramones and Black Sabbath as influences, and they've been billed as "rock and roll outlaws" and "the live band to beat." They describe their own sound as punk-fueled motor-rock.
