Actus Reus, Of Ancients, Don't Shoot the Messenger, Lilypad

Actus Reus, Of Ancients, Don't Shoot the Messenger, and Lilypad are all playing 529 in East Atlanta Village on Saturday, October 31. It's a four-band metal bill that falls right on Halloween, and the night has a costume contest built into it.

That contest is the second half of the evening: the music starts at 7 PM, and the costume contest kicks off at 10 PM. If you're planning on dressing up, you'll have a few hours of live sets to work through before it's your turn to step up. There's a cash prize for the winner, so it's not just for show.

As for the music, you've got four bands on the bill: Actus Reus, Of Ancients, Don't Shoot the Messenger, and Lilypad. It's a metal lineup, so expect a heavy night across the board. With four acts sharing the stage, the music should carry you through most of the evening before the costume contest takes over.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $22 at the door. Doors open at 7 PM, and the costume contest starts at 10 PM.
