Weekly outdoor yoga sessions held at Colony Square Midtown, inviting participants to practice yoga in the open air.
Yoga on the Square is back at Colony Square Midtown on Wednesday, October 21, as part of a series that runs every Wednesday from April through October. The sessions are presented by Kaiser Permanente and take place outdoors at The Plaza, which sits at the corner of Peachtree and 14th Streets. If you've missed the earlier dates this year, there's one more session after this one on Wednesday, October 28, before the series wraps for the season.
The class is open to all levels, and the whole point is to take your practice outside. Instead of a studio, you'll be on The Plaza at Colony Square, right in the heart of Midtown. The sessions run from 6 PM to 7 PM, so it's an hour of yoga in the open air during the weekday evening. It's a good way to stretch out and clear your head after work without having to drive across town to a gym or a studio.
Colony Square itself is one of Midtown's original icons, and these days it's a mix of business, residential, and culture—an arts-infused gathering place where community thrives. The Plaza is the open-air center of that, and it's where the yoga happens. It's a spot that's seen plenty of change over the years, and it's now a place where you can find a bit of quiet right in the middle of the city.
