A family-friendly Halloween event with costumes, candy, face painting, arts and crafts, and music at Colony Square.
Scare On The Square takes over The Plaza at Colony Square on Tuesday, October 27, from 4 PM to 6 PM. It's a Halloween edition of Colony Kids, the monthly kids' event Colony Square hosts in midtown Atlanta, and this one is built around costumes and candy. The plaza fills up with candy, face painting, spooky arts and crafts, and bounce houses, with music running through the whole thing.
On the music side, DJ Sound Hound is on the decks, keeping things moving while the kids work their way through the activities. The arts and crafts are themed for Halloween, so you can expect the spooky side of the craft table, and the face painting is there to help with the costumes if you're still figuring yours out. The bounce houses are set up right in the plaza, so the little ones have plenty of room to run around between the treats.
Since it's a special edition of Colony Kids, the whole afternoon is geared toward families. It's the kind of thing where you bring the kids in their costumes and let them loose on the candy and the bounce houses while you hang out. The timing—late afternoon on a Tuesday—makes it a good after-school or early-evening stop rather than a full-day commitment.
