Hands-on culinary class to make classic Spanish tapas, including Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas and Pan Con Tomate.
Round Trip Brewing Company is hosting a Traditional Spanish Tapas cooking class on Thursday, November 5, starting at 6:30 PM. It's a hands-on session, so you'll be doing the work yourself rather than just watching a demo. The focus is on three classic Spanish tapas: Gambas al Ajillo, Patatas Bravas, and Pan Con Tomate.
If you're not familiar with the spread, these three cover a good range of the tapas experience. Gambas al Ajillo is garlic shrimp, usually sizzling in olive oil with plenty of garlic and a bit of chili. Patatas Bravas are fried potatoes served with a spicy tomato sauce—the kind of thing you'd find at almost any tapas bar in Spain. And Pan Con Tomate is the simplest of the bunch: toasted bread rubbed with fresh tomato, olive oil, and salt. Together, they make for a full spread of shrimp, potatoes, and bread.

Because it's a hands-on class, you'll be prepping and cooking each dish from start to finish. You'll learn how to handle the ingredients and put them together, and then you get to eat what you've made. It's the kind of thing that works well as a night out with a friend or a date, especially since you're working side-by-side. The class is held at Round Trip Brewing Company in the Underwood Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, and it kicks off at 6:30 PM on Thursday, November 5.
