A five-course dinner paired with five South American wines, exploring the culinary traditions of Chile, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
Epicurean Theatre is hosting a Tour of South America Wine Dinner on Friday, October 23, from 7 PM to 9 PM. It's a five-course meal paired with five South American wines, led by Kelly Cornett of A Cork in the Road. The whole evening is built as a guided food-and-wine journey through Chile, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina.
Each course draws on the flavors and traditions of one of those countries, with a wine from that same country paired to it. As you move through the menu, Cornett shares insight into the wines grown in each region, so you get a sense of what makes each one different. The menu runs through Chilean Sea Bass, Anticucho-Spiced Octopus, Coffee-Crusted Duck Breast, Braised Beef Short Rib, and Caramelized Pear & Dulce de Leche.
