Wine tasting workshop with three rounds of blind-tasting battles, led by Kelly Cornett of A Cork in the Road and Chelsea Young of The Oenophile Institute.
Blind Tasting Wine Down comes to the Epicurean Theatre at Epicurean Atlanta on Thursday, November 5, from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. It's an immersive tasting workshop for wine lovers, built around three rounds of blind-tasting battles where you'll try to identify six wines from various regions. Between the rounds, the hosts share tasting techniques and regional characteristics, so you're picking up something as you go. A cheese and charcuterie spread rounds out the room.
Two local wine experts lead the night. Kelly Cornett, an Atlanta-based wine events and media consultant with more than a decade in the industry, previously managed a winery in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley and hosts the A Cork in the Road podcast, which The Hue Society named Podcast of the Year in 2023. Chelsea Young, an Atlanta native, earned a WSET Level 4 Diploma in 2023 and opened The Oenophile Institute in 2022, where she's taught over 800 students. She also writes for the Blood of Gods wine zine. The two co-created Sommlympics, an international wine competition.
