The Jury Experience - The Killer AI

The Jury Experience is playing at 7 Stages Theatre on Saturday, October 24, and it's not your usual night at the theater. The whole thing is built around a courtroom drama where the audience doesn't just watch—you actually serve as the jury. You'll hear the case, weigh the evidence, and then decide the verdict yourself. The show's tagline, "The defendant's fate rests in your hands," isn't just for show; the ending depends on what you and the rest of the jury decide.

The case centers on a single autonomous vehicle that followed its design to the letter in a split-second decision: it avoided one outcome and caused a fatal one instead. There was no technical failure, just a system behaving exactly as it was programmed while a life was lost. That's the knot you have to untangle. You'll be weighing where the responsibility lands—with human oversight, the company behind the vehicle, or the technology itself—around a jury question that doesn't offer an easy verdict.

On stage, the production blends professional acting with multimedia elements to build the case, and the storytelling is designed to keep you thinking long after you've left the theater. It's a courtroom drama that asks a real question about how we handle a world where machines make decisions that used to belong to people. The show has already debuted in Atlanta and has drawn four and five-star reviews.

It's suitable for participants aged 12 and up, so it works for a family outing or a night with friends. The performance runs for 60 minutes, starting at 4:30 PM on Saturday, October 24, at 7 Stages Theatre. Tickets start from $42.80.
